New Jersey Wildlife and Game Refuge - Ocean, NJ Flats Report on 7th Dec, 2025

We had Marshall, Jarred, and Pat out for a full day of fishing. Although the weather was cold, the fishing remained red hot! We stopped counting fish at 20 today, with non-stop action and fish up to 42 inches. We even managed to land a few keepers in the mix. Hot bait was mojos and BKD’s.

New Jersey Wildlife and Game Refuge - Ocean, NJ Flats Report on 2nd Dec, 2025 - 1

This morning, we had the Winn family out for a half-day. With the wind finally dying down, we tried our luck inshore on some wrecks. We started strong, catching a mixed bag of fish, including flounder up to 20 inches, blues, and trigger fish. We finished the trip in the bay, where we still caught a few fish. They were a great crew, and I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

This morning's 5-hour fishing trip with the Kelleher crew was an absolute blast. They were the perfect crew to have on board, and our fishing trip was ridiculously successful. We caught a whopping 50+ fish, including some enormous flounder and a triggerfish that put up quite a fight. We ended the day with a nice haul of 7 flounder, a triggerfish, and aSeabass to take to the table. Hot bait today was Riptide Bait and Tackle spearing and squid

New Jersey Wildlife and Game Refuge - Ocean, NJ Flats Report on 2nd Dec, 2025 - 3

This morning, we had the pleasure of hosting Greg and Ron, author of Flounder Bytes, on an ocean excursion. We were fortunate to have ideal conditions, which enabled us to make the most of our time. Locating the fish did not take long, and once we did, the action was non-stop. Within the first hour, we landed 20 bass, with the largest measuring 40 inches, and we stopped keeping track. The most effective baits today were Mojos and BKD's, and it is likely that a Riptide Bait and Tackle pound cake would have also been successful! For the remainder of the year, we will exclusively be offering ocean trips, with a limited number of dates still available.

New Jersey Wildlife and Game Refuge - Ocean, NJ Flats Report on 2nd Dec, 2024

We had Brandon Trate and the boys out for the day today. Can say enough about how great the boys were to be around. It was the first day the weather really gave us a break to make a solid run in the ocean. The boys faired pretty welll. Caught more fish than we could count and ended with our limit. We had fish from 28 to 38 inches. Hot bait today was Riptide Bait and Tackle shad bar.

Atlantic City Reservoir - Atlantic, NJ Flats Report on 22nd Jul, 2024

We had the Messick boys out today for a morning back bay trip. There was a ton of action as the fish were really biting today. Ended up bringing home 6 blues and a nice 19 1/2 inch flounder. Hot bait today was Riotide Bait and Tackle spearing.

I had the Juliano crew out today for a little high school reunion. Fishing started off slow and we really had to wait them out this afternoon. The patience paid off as we boated 3 big bass all over the 38 inch limit. Hot bait again today!

Brigantine Beach - Atlantic, NJ Flats Report on Invalid Date

I had Adam and crew aboard for a 4-hour trip in the bay this morning. The boys made quick work of it nailing 3 bass on the very first drift. Juice took the title today with a nice 34-inch fatty. We ended the day going 3 for 4 on some nice Riptide Bait and Tackle spot. The ocean bass should be here within the next couple weeks. Still some availability but there filling up fast, book a Brigantine fishing charter with me!
